Keen was in the US after being honoured as one of the joint winners of the inaugural Revere Award for economics.The accolade was announced last month by . . .  The Real-World Economics Review . The award is named after the US patriot Paul Revere who, before the 1775 battle of Lexington, warned of the approaching British army.

Keen was honoured alongside the world’s best-known doomsday economists Nouriel Roubini and Dean Baker. Keen received by far the most votes . . . from the 2500 people who took part in an online poll.
