Food stamp usage in the United States is, once again, at an all-time high: 45,753,078 individuals and 21,581,234 households participated in SNAP during May 2011.

    According to the Nationalpriorities.org in 2007 there were 52 million people eligible for food stamps of which only about half received the assistance.

    This is a pretty ugly and telling graph that not all is working well in US economic policy. What more evidence do policy makers need that they are clearly missing something huge? Like unemployment?
