Yes. Mother earth is heating up, with about 0,02 degrees centigrade a year (and less low gasoline taxes are a fine example of a kind of  ‘land tax’ which taxes away part of the rent income of owners of oil, including the Saoudi royal family). Click this:

    or we could ask irrigators in drought ravaged Texas

    or Russians whose relatives died in the 2010 heatwave

    that one heatwave killed an estimated 15,000 people and shaved an estimated $15 billion of the Russian economy

    and atmospheric co2 levels keep rising; now over 391 ppm

    the major ocean currents are warming faster than the rest of the lifeboat

    and another 200,000 humans are added to the planet each day

    To the above commenters – Don’t confuse weather with climate.One is short term,the other is long to longer term.

    Thanks again Merijn. I’ve wanted to make or see a plot like that for a long time. It perfectly illustrates the cherry-picking of “sceptics”.
