Zundagoavend blues: songs in the other North Sea dialects. De Kift.

This is actually one of my favorite bands. A kind of intellectual Tuba Punk with strong roots in the surprising brass tradition of the coastal Netherlands (dating back to the 1910’s and 1920’s). They use a lot of texts of Céline (no, not Dion but the writer), translated in Dutch and sung in the soft tongue of Holland north of Amsterdam. The old guy in the back is actually the grandfather of the singer.
