UK public trusts economists more than politicians but less than hairdressers

    Excellent! But I think that this percentage of trust (45%) still remains too high with regard to what the economists are (and had been) able to give society in terms of valuable advise and of sound knowledge about the working of markets and the ways to improve it for the common good.

    The headline should be “UK public trusts politicians even less than economists”.

    Yet politicians create most public policies and laws. And ensure their enforcement. Scientists are more trusted than economists, but does this help in dealing with public policies and laws for such issues as climate change, vaccinations, abortion, nuclear power, etc? Seems you don’t need to be popular to control the world!
