It has been demonstrated that it takes, on average, 237,000 poor people to support one billionaire. What? Well, yes…I did just make up that number, but it certainly takes a lot of poor people to have one ultra-rich person. If there is a disgruntled economist in the audience who has figured out the real number, please feel free to speak up.
How about zero, if the billionnaire played in abstract options markets where apparent speculators can be hedging other unseen positions, and everyone had basic income to play these win-win finance games too?
